FINAL PROJECT

What caught my attention at the Garrison was the horses. The sad and somewhat disturbed look in the eyes of these tortured beast. A horse is a beautiful creature and we race and beat them for money. I liked the old and rotten organic forms of the trees. I found the British coat of arms to be interesting as well. The material i used was to mimic the rotten organic forms of the trees, and i purposely use a diamond shape for a frame to make the horse's expression more seriously looked upon like the Coat of Arms. In my opinion a normal square frame would have make it look like a simple relief sculpture. A colored horse would have been a bit to representational and full of life, a white horse looks more scared shitless, lacking vibrant colour.  Black is strong, white is ghostly fear ( in this case). I like how the hair fades away into the distance, it signifies movement, running away from. I wanted to show the suffering, the rage, the fear in the horse's eyes, to illustrate how these beast really feel on the inside. The golden diamond frame is a window into the eyes, into the fear of horses. At the races, take a quick look,  ( popped eyes and snarling teeth ).
